Yes, I'm still alive. I actually wasn't aware that I wasn't updating DA much ...for 4 months. It's been busy.
Anyways, this was a speed painting done last night, when I should have been going crazy from finals. It's supposed to be rough and messy like this, because I drew it at about 40% scale. I called her "sunshine" as kind of a joke, as well as for the yellow tint to the picture.
The premise behind this? It's how I look most of the time now. No no, I bear no physical resemblance to this girl whatsoever, nor did I use a reference. It's just that whenever I look into the mirror, I have that same tired expression. But some days you just have to smile, so it turns into something like that. Or perhaps that's just me.
Anyways, it's a bit early for this, but happy holidays, everyone! Hope you enjoy the picture. : )
Wow, the picture seems much more sincere after reading the description. Hope you're doing better, and I'm sure many are in your position right now... after all, almost everyone's always busy with either school or work or many other things in life.. ._.

I understand what you mean about the expression. I think people have looks on their faces and they don't realize it. People sometimes tell me that I look either angry or sad, when I'm not. I guess my face just looks that way.
You know.....I havent read the Manga peach girl for a LONG time, havent even thought of it really, but this Picture sure did remind me of the girl in it, great job. :3

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
